. No meeting on December 16th,  as the Holiday Part will be the night before. In addition, we’ll have meetings on December 23rd and 30th.
. Lois asked if you knew of anyone who would like a meal on Christmas day.  Let her know and she can add them to her list.
. Needham-Wellesley Rotary dinner was mentioned in online “Sports Illustrated”.
. Holiday party will be on Monday, December 15th at Erica Bond’s house,  signup sheets are on the table.

Happy dollars: Great Thanksgiving, happy holidays; welcome guests and prayers for Jhon Garcia from Ecuador - GOL for open heart surgery at BCH on 12/8; great Rotary/Community Council Thanksgiving dinner last week; great Thanksgiving football dinner last Tuesday, best one ever – well done Glen; thanks to all volunteers at Thanksgiving dinner; three generations of Hoffmeisters at Needham-Wellesley football game, congrats Needham on win; thanks to Chuck Buyer for music awards flyer; my son, Casey, being on Needham high hockey team.

Presidential minute: Lois told us about the 8th President, born in 1782, the first president to be born in the USA.  He was influential in forming the Democratic Party, VP under Andrew Jackson, the last president to be elected from VP until George W. Bush.  Bob Cocks had answer: Martin Van Buren.

Guest Speaker:  Rick Davis introduced John Fogarty, President and CEO of BID Needham.  John thanked Rotary and the community of Needham for all they do for the hospital, a great asset for the town.   John reviewed the 2014 achievements of the hospital: 1. Opened new cancer center based on input from patients and workers; 2. Surgical pavilion; 3. Joint Commission and CMS survey excellence awards; 4. Hometown Weekly named Best Community Hospital;  5. Advances in Safely Culture and 6. Get With the Guidelines Stroke award – received gold award last 4 years.  They are now in a capital campaign for 30,000 sq. ft. Surgical Pavilion.  Next year they look forward to a new Breast Care Center; expansion of Sleep Center and Hospitalist Program.
