Guest Speaker: President Glen outlined an updated club format which includes a proposed set of committees for Needham Rotary which would enable us to become a more active vibrant and relative club. Those committees consist of:
• Membership Committee: Goal-grow membership
• Foundation Committee: To identify projects for our club.
• Community Service: To identify local projects and people/groups who could use our help.
• Fundraising: To develop a program of sponsorship from local businesses to support our programs.
• Grants: To review all grant requests received and to recommend to BOD which ones to support.
• Events: To identify events (fundraising and service) which our club would like to do.
• Social: To increase club camaraderie by developing social activities outside of our normal weekly meetings.
• Public Relations: To publicize EVERYTHING we do through newsletter, web site social media and traditional channels.
The thought is that every member would automatically be a member of the ‘Events ‘ committee and one other committee. Members will receive a request to learn what that other committee should be. Please specify 2 or 3 options in order of priority and email Glen and Rich by the end of the weekend.
In addition, he outlined that next year the proposed officers are:
President: Glen Davis
President Elect: Rich Forte
VP: Marty Lindemann
Treasurer: Ryan Damaso
Secretary: Bob Cocks
And additional Chair people.
