Minute of Weekly Meeting

Tuesday:     November 12, 2013

  • Greg thanked Rachel for creating spread sheet of musicians for music night; tickets will be printed soon; thank you to Roberta for letting him know about her granddaughter; Libby of Capron Lighting will meet with Greg to discuss the lighting at the Great Hall.
  • Reminder that there will not be a meeting on November 26.  We will have the annual Needham Wellesley football dinner that night at Wellesley Community Center starting at 6:00 pm.
  • Darrell reminded us of community Thanksgiving with Community County at Masonic Hall.  Set up will begin Wednesday about 4:30.  Food prep will begin early Thursday morning; Bill Paulson in charge of food.  Roche Bros. donating food.
  • Pedro will join us next week to give us update of his time at Needham high.
  • This year’s holiday party will be December 12th at Erika’s house.
  • Karen told us that she will be collecting money for gift cards for Community Council.

Funds collected today were in memory of Jerry Goodman and will go into the Rotary Club Scholarship Fund; in memory of mother who passed away; seeing son and 99 year old mother; entire family at Fenway Park betting at home plate; going to CA to see grandson for

Thanksgiving; 2 residences celebrating 100th birthday; Heroes Among Us Award winner who attended one of our meetings. Hank Abbott send donation in Jerry’s name.

50:50:  Person: Scott MacPherson; Pot: $224; queen of clubs picked.  No winner this week. Still looking for jack of diamonds.
