Joke of the day: Courtesy of Doug George:
What is Celibacy?
> Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances.
> While attending a Marriage Weekend, Frank and his wife Ann listened to the
> instructor declare, “It is essential that husbands and wives know the things|
> that are important to each other.”
> He then addressed the men.
> “Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?”
> Frank leaned over, touched Ann’s arm gently, and whispered,
> “Gold Medal-All-Purpose, isn't it?”
> And thus began Frank's life of celibacy.
Presidential minute: This President was born on 12 /29/xx. After being President, he became the Senator from Tennessee. He was also the first President to be impeached. Who was it? Andrew Johnson, our 17the President.
Today’s Speaker: Pres. Glen wrapped up the year with some insights:
-In 2015, the BOD is investigating having one of our meetings a month be a breakfast not a lunch, in an effort to expand our appeal.
-Discussion ensued surrounding the Memorial Scholarship. Could we get our investments back to where they are the largest Scholarships at Needham High? The format has changed over the years. It was as much as 4 students per year at $8000 per year, but is now 2 students per year at $10,000 each. More to follow.
-Our Millennium Fund was discussed as there has been no activity (in or out) in over 5 years.
-How can the club better reach out to Needham’s needy?
Glen wished us all a Happy New Year!!!
