What do dark chocolate, zinc and lavender have in common? They’re all potential ingredients in our journey toward wellness during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Dietitian Tamara Luck, RDN, LDN, Bird’s Hill Compounding Pharmacy, Needham.
On Tuesday, April 21, Tamara will elaborate (online) during a lunchtime meeting of the Needham Rotary Club. Local residents and businesses are invited to hear her tips on “Maximizing Your Wellbeing During COVID-19”—covering nutrition as well as lifestyle factors. Participants are encouraged to sign in by noon for her presentation.
“Though none of us can absolutely prevent COVID-19, there are simple steps we can try to boost immunity and stay calm and focused,” she said. “Especially as we spend more time cooking, we can fortify ourselves with delicious recipes and ingredients.”
Tamara will discuss:
• Foods to build strength, lower inflammation and detox
• Pinpointing and reducing stress
• Building a life of gratitude
Tamara is an Integrative and Functional Dietitian, meaning that she helps her patients identify and alleviate the root causes of their symptoms through nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes. She consults with clients on a one-to-one basis.
