Roy Balfour Update on Ukraine

Roy Balfour and, through him, Rotary District 7910 (50 clubs in Central MA) has a 30+ year partnership with Ukraine, beginning with sponsoring the creation of the first post-WWII Ukraine Rotary Club in Kyiv in 1991.  Since the 2022 invasion, the district has actively supported Ukrainian Rotary Clubs with initiatives such as medical supplies, modular housing, and emergency funds.  Mr. Balfour has been masterful in organizing group projects pairing Rotary Clubs in our district with Ukraine Rotary Clubs to help local organizations in Massachusetts deliver the funding and supplies needed for the most urgent needs on the ground in Ukraine. 

We have invited Mr. Balfour to join us at our Tuesday lunch meeting on April 21st at noon at the Echo Bridge Restaurant in Newton.  He will be updating us on the Ukrainian Rotary Clubs, their health, and their needs during these frightening times.  Please join us if you can.  If you cannot attend in person, we can offer a zoom link so you can take part remotely.
