Something about a lawyer who got out-foxed…

GUEST SPEAKER:
This week’s speaker, Walter Collins, is a former Needham Rotarian when he owned and operated the Briarwood Nursing home. He has since sold it and is now a consultant in his own company, the Herron Group, consulting to nursing facilities on light care and rehabilitation. However, he was visiting us as President of the Needham Business Association.

The Needham Business Association has kicked off a project “Discover Needham” to encourage folks to purchase products and services from local Needham vendors. Of $100 spent in Needham, $73 stays in Needham when purchasing from a local business, versus $43 for a non-local business. Think about it.

The NBA is a member of the Sustainable Business Network, which promotes ‘local first campaigns’ such as the NBA’s. They are planning on developing a booklet detailing Needham’s local vendors.
