Announcements:
• Bob Dunning passed out ‘File of Life’ packets from Needham Triad.
• Bell ringing on Saturday t Sudbury Farms – thank you Jim Brown for setting up – made $916.
• 2013-2014 Board slate – nominations being taken; send email to Charles if interested.
• 12-18 at 6:30 is holiday party at Erica Bond’s house on 159 Warren St. near the Baptist Church.
• Ted Shaughnessy spoke of Gift of Life recipient, 12 year old Sofia who is doing fine and may go home early!
• Project Ezra (Temple Beth Shalom) will be providing meals on Christmas for folks who have no local family. Contact Lois Sockol for details.
Guests: - Tad Staley, speaker; Marty Lieberman, Seattle Rotary; Steve Schauer, 2nd visit; Veishal Singhal, inductee; Gary Donelan visiting to see Veishal inducted.
Happy $$$: Welcome Veishal, Gary, Steve ; many happy to be here; Erica-good luck to son’s robotics team; George’s granddaughter, Delaney, will be 14 on 12/12/12; love to Lois; Doug modular home installation; Jim successful bell ringing for Salvation Army; grandson’s first big event: Veishal happy to become new member; great to have so many guests; many-glad for Pat’s win; will miss next meeting; back to coaching; Ted-Sofia from El Salvador open heart surgery went very well;

Guest Speaker: Tad Staley, with Needham Rail Trail project, spoke of Bay Colony Rail Trail who is overall umbrella of recreational trails over existing railways; this is the 103rd living park in MA; Minuteman Bikeway is one of top 5 in country; $120,000 in rail ties lying on ground to be recycled for stone dust topping for trail; rail originally built in 1887.
