To get things started, Pres. Bill led us in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by Karen leading us in a beautiful rendition of God Bless America and Darrell led us in prayer.

Birthdays: No one aged this week!

 

Troop 10 Eagle Celebration: President Bill went to the Eagle Court for three Eagle Scouts at Troop 10 in Needham, and thoroughly enjoying seeing the young men achieve this accomplishment

 

Rick Davis: This past Friday, our own Rick Davis was one of 4 'Distinguished Career Award' winners. Multiple people say what a fine job he did, even mentioning Needham Rotary a number of times.

 

Dictionaries for 3rd Graders: Bill Paulson finished delivering Dictionaries to every public school student in Needham. He finished at NewmanSchool last week with Lois Sockol, Tom Savino, Rich Forte, Charles Nelson and Jim Brown assisting. This is a wonderful event. We hope to have a slide show up on our web site to show some pictures of the NewmanSchool delivery.

 

Announcements:

  • Louise spoke about the grand celebration of Needham's 300th on November 5th.  For $35, you can have a tour of the new Town Hall from 5-7.  $75 buys you a ticket to the big event starting at 7:30 and going until 1AM.  The Mason's will have on hand the Bible which President Washington was inaugurated with.
  • November 5th - Pancake Breakfast - Needham High School.-This is our big event for the year. Let's all sell thosell tickets and be there Saturday to serve our hungry guests.
  • Darrell is coordinating the Thanksgiving Dinner project again this year.
